Introduction:
This exhibition will display the representative works of 11 Pacific artists from Taiwan and abroad. In terms of cultural identity and artistic pursuit, these people of mountains and seas embody the keen intelligence with which Austronesian cultures regard their universe. Each work can be seen as the artist's autobiographical reflection, in combination with the artist's distinctive cultural background and personal life experiences, and each artist can be seen as narrating an arduous personal struggle to find and reclaim his or her ancestral heritage and inspiration.
